Our Data Center Infrastructure Operations / Facilities team is vital in ensuring OCI's performance, security, and operational resilience. Role Overview As an Operations Electrical Engineer, you will take charge of maintaining the reliability, safety, and lifecycle performance of critical electrical systems supporting hyperscale data centers. You will establish technical direction and lead corrective actions on high-impact events while driving necessary upgrades and standards to ensure consistent uptime. Key Responsibilities Define and maintain electrical engineering standards for high-availability infrastructure, encompassing switchgear, UPS, batteries, generators, grounding, and distribution. Lead advanced troubleshooting, power quality analysis, and incident investigations, focusing on high-impact or recurring events. Provide engineering expertise for upgrades, retrofits, and expansions, including contributing to design reviews, commissioning support, and operational acceptance criteria. Collaborate with site operations to enhance maintainability, safety execution, and documentation quality including procedures, one-lines, settings, and test plans. Engage with utilities and regulatory stakeholders as necessary; ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards (NFPA/IEEE/ANSI and local requirements). Review technical documentation to ensure consistent engineering quality across multiple sites. Ideal Candidate Profile Extensive experience in high-reliability electrical design and operations for data centers, utilities, or mission-critical facilities. Degree in Electrical Engineering; a Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred where applicable. Familiarity with power analysis tools (e.g., SKM/ETAP/EasyPower) and safety requirements (arc flash, protective coordination). Skills and Competencies Strong technical judgment with the ability to communicate risks and options clearly to diverse audiences. Evidence-based problem-solving skills with a disciplined approach to corrective actions. Salary Range: In the US, the hiring range is USD from $120,100 to $251,600 per annum. This role may also be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.
