OVERVIEWWe are seeking a skilled Millwright (sometimes called a Maintenance Technician) to join our team. As a Millwright at Franklin Industries, you will be responsible for assembling, disassembling, installing, and maintaining vital machinery as well as performing comprehensive diagnostics on all machinery to ensure maximum and safe functionality. The millwright must also log the use, state of repair, and replacement of all equipment.Franklin Industries is a local place to start your career. We offer Medical, Dental, Vision, Short-Term Disability, and Life Insurances in addition to many other benefits such as Paid Time Off and a 401k with employer match.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Assemble, install, maintain, and repair machinery and equipment in industrial settings.Fabricate parts using machine tools and equipmentAnalyze and troubleshoot machinery malfunctionsPerform preventative maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal performance and accurately log all maintenancePerform diagnostic tests on functioning machinery to ensure safe and efficient functionalityDisassemble machinery and transport it to the appropriate storage locationJOB QUALIFICATIONS Minimum of three (3) years of verifyable experience as a Maintenance Technician/Millwright is required.High school diploma or equivalentTrade school diploma or vocational certificate preferredStrong mechanical aptitude and experience in heavy manufacturing environmentAbility to read and interpret blueprints and schematicsStrong math, communication, problem-solving and time management skillsGood understanding of hydraulics and pneumaticsPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Ability to climb on, off, and around equipmentAbility to sit, stand, and walk for periods of timeAbility to bend, twist, lift, turn as neededAbility to lift item (occasionally very heavy, up to 100 pounds)Ability to use wrists, hands, and/or fingers for various repetitive motionsAbility to verbally communicateGood eye acuity, depth perception, field of vision (with or without accommodation) STARTING PAY - Typically between $28 - $32/hour (commensurate with experience). Compensation above our posted rate may be considered for extremely skilled and motivated individuals. OT is paid at 1.5x pay after 40 hours.
