Job Description

Job Description The Senior Technical Consultant (STC) is a hands-on technical leader who will drive the architecture, prototyping, and deployment of cutting-edge networking solutions essential for large-scale AI environments. This role is centered around deep technical execution, focusing on the design and implementation of high-quality features across SmartNICs, programmable switches, and end-host networking stacks, prioritizing real-world deployment, performance, and reliability. Key Responsibilities: Data Plane & Offload Development: Design and implement advanced multi-path-aware routing algorithms optimized for SmartNICs and switches. Create high-performance data plane logic using low-level systems programming and hardware SDKs focused on routing, load balancing, and real-time telemetry offloads. Optimize packet processing pipelines for predictable low-latency and high-throughput performance. Congestion Control & Transport Algorithms: Develop congestion control mechanisms based on detailed network telemetry, including queue depth, loss, latency, and link health. Build adaptive transport-level solutions capable of selecting optimal paths and adjusting rates in extensive AI networks. ML Collective & RDMA Systems: Engineer collective communication transports for Machine Learning workloads that maintain high performance amidst bottlenecks, failures, and complex topologies. Implement and scale RDMA across multi-path environments, ensuring both correctness and adherence to ordering guarantees. Enhance RDMA-based structures for storage and data services to improve efficiency and reduce latency. Validation & Performance Engineering: Develop frameworks, simulations, and proofs-of-concept to validate scalability, functionality, and resilience. Analyze and optimize performance metrics across NICs, switches, kernel/firmware, and user-space applications. Diagnose and resolve intricate issues within distributed and low-level systems. Required Qualifications: 10+ years of proven experience in systems, networking, or kernel-level engineering with significant hands-on technical expertise. Deep knowledge of RDMA, congestion control, transport protocols, and high-performance packet processing. Strong skills in implementing complex, hardware-proximal algorithms with an emphasis on performance and correctness. Proven proficiency in debugging challenges that span across layers, distributed systems, and low-level technologies. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with large-scale AI training and inference infrastructures. Familiarity with programmable networking pipelines and hardware SDKs. Demonstrated success in delivering complex networking features in production environments at scale. Benefits: We offer a comprehensive benefits package which includes: Medical, dental, and vision insurance Short-term and long-term disability insurance Life insurance and AD&D coverage Flexible Spending Accounts for healthcare and dependent care Paid time off, including flexible vacation and 11 paid holidays Employee Stock Purchase Plan 401(k) with company match Paid parental leave and adoption assistance This role is available to qualified applicants who demonstrate a commitment to innovation and a passion for technology.
