Job Description

Guardian is looking for an innovative Human Resources Talent Strategy Partner to support our expanding Group Benefits business. This strategic HR role emphasizes consultative skills to drive cultural transformation and enhance leadership capabilities. Your Responsibilities Collaborate with leaders and teams to develop a talent strategy that promotes business growth, leadership development, succession planning, employee engagement, equity, and inclusion. Work closely with leaders to pinpoint areas for improving business performance through strategy, structure, processes, people, and rewards. Design and implement retention strategies aimed at key leaders and individuals with essential skills critical to the organization's future. Support the growth of effective leadership through targeted development programs that align with business strategies. Guide leaders through ongoing talent reviews and succession planning efforts. Assist in crafting strategies to bridge talent gaps and enhance leadership team effectiveness. Promote organizational strength through diversity initiatives. Utilize employee engagement data to partner with leaders in addressing performance drivers and developing improvement plans. Advise on process enhancements and team dynamics to optimize organizational effectiveness. Lead organizational change initiatives, including design, communication, upskilling, and training. Provide comprehensive HR consultation to business leaders, balancing strategic and operational needs. Coach leaders on their personal effectiveness and impact on the organization. Coordinate with HR Center of Excellence resources for talent and capability building within designated functional areas. Maintain a strong business literacy to effectively contribute to organizational success. Actively engage with the Guardian HR community to drive key HR processes and initiatives. Contribute to enterprise-wide HR projects and initiatives. Your Qualifications 10+ years of experience in human resources with strong business acumen, capable of implementing human capital initiatives aligned with business strategy. Ability to operate effectively within the organization's financial and operational contexts. Proven financial and analytical skills to synthesize various issues and formulate coordinated action plans. Data-Driven Decision Making Experience using data to inform decisions and improve outcomes, with an aptitude for storytelling through data. Strong analytical and assessment skills. Strategic Thinking Capability to develop and implement solutions for business challenges and influence strategic decisions. Demonstrated strategic HR thought leadership. Relationship Management A proven ability to build trust and credibility with leaders, stakeholders, and collaborators as a trusted advisor. Experience driving change and influencing at all organizational levels. Talent Management Expertise Extensive knowledge in business and talent strategy, culture change, workforce planning, and organizational design. Aptitude for identifying and executing HR initiatives that create strategic value and meet employee needs. Agility and Adaptability Ability to quickly respond to business shifts and adapt plans as necessary. Exceptional judgment in managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Intellectual curiosity that fosters continuous learning and insight-sharing. Additional Requirements BA/BS or equivalent experience in Human Resources or a related field. Excellent verbal and written communication skills for various audiences, including senior executives. Proven project leadership experience in a complex, matrixed organization. Strong self-motivation and initiative, with a results-oriented focus. Detail-oriented with a disciplined approach to processes. Experience with Workday is preferred. Location and Travel This is a hybrid role requiring in-office presence three days a week in Boston, MA; Hudson Yards, NYC; Stamford, CT; or Bethlehem, PA, and two days of work from home. Travel to other Guardian offices may occur as needed, up to 15%. Salary Range: $132,420.00 - $217,545.00. This range is an estimate of base pay for the primary location of the position. Actual pay will be determined based on the candidate's education, experience, knowledge, and skills, along with potential eligibility for annual or other incentive compensation.
