PegasusTSI is a private, Florida-based company where people matter, where your voice is heard, and where decisions are made with PegasusTSI's business wellbeing and our team members' best interest in mind.During the company's more than 25-year history, our team has supported clients in the oil refining, petrochemical, fertilizer (phosphate and nitrogen), chemical, pharmaceutical, municipal, consumer products, and industrial facilities industries in the USA and internationally.PegasusTSI offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, short and long term disability, long term care, life insurance, 401(k), paid time off, paid holidays, and company events that supports our team members throughout their career.We have an excellent opportunity for a Senior Instrument & Controls Engineer.The Senior Instrument & Controls Engineer is accountable for the adequacy of calculations, engineering drawings, and specifications for a project and compliance with schedule and budget.Responsibilities: Maintain solid knowledge of digital and analog control systems for regulatory and supervisory process control design, development of control philosophy, and coordination of work between other disciplines and instrumentation departmentsPrepare workhour (engineering) estimates, installed cost estimates, budgeting, scheduling, controlling and reporting instrument and control design progress to ensure efficient and timely execution of the projectCoordinate with Client on instrument specifications and control philosophy issues related to the development of P&ID diagrams, control systems design, and wiring of distributed control systems and programmable controllersSupervise engineering and design team members assigned to projects, manpower-planning, and scheduling of engineering activitiesProvide technical guidance and quality check on design team's output, as a working engineering and design discipline leaderLiaise with plant and construction team members for on-going domestic and international projectsCoordinate with local authorities for the compliance with local rules/regulations and permit approvals Qualifications: Bachelor's of Science degree in Engineering related to Instrumentation and Control Systems (ABET accredited)10 or more years of experience in front-end and detailed engineering design of heavy industrial plantsProfessional Engineering (PE) required with established NCEES record for obtaining licensure in additional statesField work experienceExtensive background in the design of instrumentation and control systems for chemical, refining, petrochemical and specialty chemical plants, including preparing instrument specs, loop sheets, wiring diagrams, etc.Solid background in Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) and Distributed Control Systems (DCS) systems such as Allen Bradley, Emerson-Delta V, Yokogawa, Honeywell, etc., including Control systems design, preparing architectural network diagrams, and control equipment specificationsExperience with detailed Design, Public Improvement Districts (PID) development, instrumentation and control equipment specifications, datasheetsKnowledge of ISA, NFPA, API, ASME, OSHA and other relevant industry codes and standards with respect to design requirementsProficient with technical software applications, including MS Office and Google WorkspaceExcellent interpersonal and communication skills both verbal and writtenAbility to work both autonomously and collaboratively within a team environmentWillingness to travel to job sites, as neededMust be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship
