Design your future with us!Position Overview:We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Controller to oversee and manage the financial operations of our growing organization. This role is ideal for a hands-on finance professional who thrives in a fast-paced, service-based environment and understands both the strategic and operational sides of the business.The Controller will be responsible for financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, job costing oversight, and building scalable processes and internal controls. This individual will serve as a trusted partner to ownership and operational leadership, ensuring financial clarity, accountability, and sustainable growth.Responsibilities:Oversee day-to-day accounting operations including AP, AR, payroll support, and general ledger managementManage month-end and year-end close processes and ensure accurate financial reportingPrepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statementsEnsure compliance with GAAP and applicable financial regulationsCoordinate with external CPA, tax advisors, and auditorsDevelop and maintain annual budgets and rolling forecastsLead cash flow forecasting and working capital managementAnalyze job costing, labor efficiency, margins, and overhead performanceProvide clear financial insights and recommendations to ownership and leadershipEstablish and track KPIs to support data-driven decision-makingDesign, implement, and improve financial processes and internal controlsEstablish safeguards to protect company assets and reduce riskStandardize accounting procedures and documentationIdentify operational inefficiencies and recommend improvementsSupport optimization of accounting and service management software systemsWork closely with operations and service leadership to align financials with real-world executionAssist with revenue recognition, billing processes, and job costing accuracyStep in to perform detailed accounting work when needed, including reconciliations and reviewsRequirements:5+ years of experience in a Controller, Accounting Manager, or similar leadership roleExperience supporting small to mid-sized businessesStrong understanding of service-based or project-based industries (construction, HVAC, or trades preferred)Demonstrated experience building or improving financial processes and internal controlsProficiency with accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, NetSuite, or similar)Advanced Excel skills and strong financial modeling abilityBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred but not required)Strong communication skills with the ability to explain financial concepts to non-financial leadersIf you are a hands-on financial leader who values integrity, ownership, and building strong systems that support long-term growth, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity as our Controller.Job Type:Full-timePay:Competitive, commensurate with experienceBenefits:401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance Health insurance Life insurance Paid time off Retirement plan Vision insuranceSchedule:8 hour shift Monday to Friday
