The Opportunity We are seeking a Senior Actuarial Analyst to play a key role in evolving our reserving framework at Ally Insurance. In this position, you will lead projects independently, from concept to execution, employing advanced analytics to derive insights and effectively communicate findings to Management and Senior Leadership. This position offers high visibility to Leadership, paving the way for potential advancement. We are looking for candidates with exceptional leadership, technical skills, and programming expertise, particularly in SQL, R, or Python. Your Responsibilities Develop and maintain a robust reserving framework for our insurance business, utilizing both conventional actuarial methods and advanced modeling techniques. Lead and deliver advanced analytical projects while communicating findings succinctly to Management and Senior Leadership. Encourage continuous improvement and innovation within the team and across the organization. Collaborate with teams involved in product development, pricing, and reserving processes. Generate reserve indications, establish reserve ranges, and conduct complex analytics. Support the growth and development of yourself and other colleagues in actuarial roles aligned with Ally's vision and values. The Skills You Bring ACAS designation or near ACAS preferred; completion of 5 or more Casualty Actuarial Society exams is required. A minimum of 4 years of experience in actuarial or data analysis roles; experience in advanced ratemaking and reserving is advantageous. Strong communication abilities and relationship-building skills. Proficient in programming languages, particularly SQL and R. Adaptability to changing priorities and ability to respond quickly to shifting demands. Critical thinking and problem-solving proficiency. Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive. A Bachelor's degree in risk management, finance, economics, actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, or a related field is required. Must have authorization to work in the US on a permanent basis. Compensation Range: The compensation for this position will be determined based on the role's responsibilities, applicant’s experience, education, and qualifications. Emerging: 85000 Experienced: 117500 Expert: 150000 This role is also eligible for participation in our annual incentive compensation program.
