Job Description Join our innovative Data Center Infrastructure Construction team at Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. We are a dedicated group focused on building cutting-edge data centers efficiently and sustainably. We are seeking a Lead Data Center Construction Project Manager to spearhead our initiatives in delivering high-quality facilities that cater to the expanding needs of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. This role emphasizes collaboration and requires you to work closely with experienced project managers, commissioning experts, and construction specialists to successfully execute complex projects. Key Responsibilities: Oversee the construction of data center projects with a focus on base building and MEP infrastructure. Ensure timely completion of projects by managing colocation provider construction activities within budget and quality standards. Create and maintain detailed project schedules, collaborating with colocation providers to meet critical milestones. Conduct independent risk evaluations to proactively identify and address potential issues. Coordinate tenant fit-out integration with base building projects across all phases, from design to commissioning. Implement strong quality control processes to adhere to design specifications and industry standards. Work with design teams to ensure alignment with approved plans and specifications throughout the construction process. Act as the primary liaison between Oracle and colocation providers to ensure effective communication. Identify risks and develop strategies to mitigate their impact on project timelines and costs. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, codes, and standards. Provide insights for continuous improvement in colocation provider evaluations. Regularly visit project sites to monitor schedules, coordination, and quality throughout the project lifecycle. Required Skills: Extensive knowledge of data center construction practices, including civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, controls, and plumbing systems. Proven experience managing project management phases during startup and commissioning of major data center projects. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to navigate challenges in a dynamic construction environment. Expertise in strategic planning and program-level requirements for construction projects. In-depth understanding of data center design and operational needs, emphasizing technological advancements and sustainability. A track record of effectively managing large-scale construction projects from start to finish. Leadership skills, including the ability to mentor and inspire diverse teams of professionals. Proficient in budget management to ensure efficient and cost-effective resource use. Experience in identifying risks and developing effective mitigation strategies. Vendor management experience, including contract negotiation and oversight. Broad knowledge of regulatory compliance concerning construction tasks. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for engaging stakeholders and presenting project updates. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience. A minimum of 10 years of experience in construction project management, specifically in data centers or colocation infrastructure. Successful management of large-scale construction projects with a solid understanding of quality control and design coordination processes. Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders. The pay range for this position is from $120,100 to $251,600 annually and may include bonuses, equity, and deferred compensation.
