As a Field Service Intern at LionHeart, you'll work side-by-side with experienced Field Service Engineers (FSEs), gaining real-world exposure to the technical, operational, and customer-facing aspects of our core business. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with their hands, learning in an active environment, and wants to explore a long-term career in field service and critical power. What We Offer Mentorship and guidance from experienced technicians and industry leaders Opportunities to develop and apply technical skills in an active, hands-on work environment A collaborative, supportive team culture that prioritizes learning and safety A clear career path toward becoming a Field Service Engineer Apprentice and, eventually, a Journeyman at LionHeart Day in the Life No two days look exactly the same, but as a Field Service Intern you can expect to: Ride along with Field Service Engineers to customer sites Observe and assist with regular maintenance on industrial generators, transfer switches, and fire pump engines Learn how technicians troubleshoot, diagnose, and complete repairs on critical equipment Help load, unload, and transport tools, parts, and equipment to and from job sites Get hands-on in the shop as needed, supporting equipment prep and learning how the field and shop work together to deliver for customers See firsthand how FSEs communicate with customers, chief engineers, and internal office teams Ask questions, build foundational skills, and steadily take on more responsibility as you learn What You'll Be Learning Throughout your internship, you'll gain exposure to how LionHeart Field Service Engineers successfully: Perform preventive maintenance on mission-critical power equipment Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues in the field Work safely and efficiently in active customer environments Communicate clearly and professionally with customers and internal teams Represent LionHeart's values on every job site What We're Looking For Interest in mechanical, electrical, or technical work Willingness to learn, take direction, and work as part of a team Comfort working in a physical, hands-on environment Strong work ethic and positive attitude Ability to lift and move equipment, tools, and supplies as needed Curiosity about a long-term career in field service or skilled trades Previous technical experience is a plus Valid driver's license and clean driving record
