Field Ground Support Specialist

Description The Field Ground Support Specialist plays a crucial role in the tree care team, responsible for safely and efficiently managing brush and debris. This includes operating equipment such as woodchippers and chainsaws, while also ensuring a safe work environment by identifying hazards and maintaining tools. Essential Functions & Responsibilities: Use chainsaws to cut down brush, logs, and stumps from larger trees. Drag, gather, and feed material into the wood chipper. Maintain vehicles and equipment in clean and optimal condition. Minimum Qualifications: Must be at least 18 years old. Education & Experience: A High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred. This is an entry-level position; no prior experience is necessary. Previous relevant experience is an advantage. Pre-Screen: Successful candidates may be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening, background check, and/or motor vehicle record check. License & Certifications: A Driver's License is preferred but not mandatory. Physical Requirements: RARE (less than 10%): Sitting, crawling, climbing poles, color vision, climbing ladders, climbing stairs. OCCASIONAL (up to 33%): Stooping, kneeling, squatting, twisting, sensing touch, climbing on/off trucks, gripping, lifting 10 to 50 lbs., reaching, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, climbing ladders, balancing, lifting over 50 lbs. FREQUENT (up to 66%): Standing, walking, manual dexterity, seeing at a distance, reading, range of motion, hearing-speech range, depth perception, climbing stairs, lifting up to 10 lbs.
