Your Impactful Tasks: Lead and deliver essential building performance projects, including new and existing building commissioning, ASHRAE energy audits, and ENERGY STAR initiatives. Oversee project scope, deliverables, budget, and timelines while coordinating execution and billing schedules; keep project data current in our business systems. Work collaboratively with property owners, managers, engineers, architects, and contractors, both on-site and remotely. Analyze energy, water, and sustainability data to produce clear technical reports with actionable recommendations, ensuring quality control of deliverables. Manage and mentor junior to mid-level engineers through onboarding, training, performance reviews, and goal-setting, while nurturing innovation within the team. Enhance team workflows and templates; track project backlog, billings, and resource utilization to meet performance targets. Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, ESG, and Engineering teams on proposals and requirements to drive growth and innovation. Your Qualifications: B.S. in Mechanical Engineering; a Professional Engineer (PE) license is required, ideally in New York. Must have a minimum of 7 years of experience in commissioning, ASHRAE audits, or ENERGY STAR projects for commercial or industrial clients. Extensive expertise in ASHRAE standards and guidelines relevant to commissioning and audits; skilled in interpreting and applying technical specifications. Proven track record with 30+ completed energy audit and retro-commissioning projects; strong proficiency in HVAC systems and familiarity with BMS/BAS. Knowledgeable in LEED rating systems, NYC Building Codes, and regional incentive programs; robust understanding of architectural and MEP drawings. Exceptional project management, organizational, and problem-solving skills; adept at data analysis with clear, actionable recommendations. Excellent written and verbal communication skills; experienced in client-facing presentations and producing clear documentation. Proficient in Microsoft Office and modern collaboration tools; demonstrating flexibility and teamwork with a strong commitment to high-performance buildings. Additional Information: This position is remote but will require regular on-site meetings and fieldwork in the New York metro area, along with periodic national travel (up to approximately 30%). The work environment involves office/computer-based tasks with frequent communication and may require occasional walking, stooping, kneeling, and lifting up to 35 lbs.
