Friendship is looking for a Full-Time Registered Dietetic Technician to join our Richfield team, located in Salem, VA. The Registered Dietetic Technician is responsible for ensuring optimal nutrition for residents in the facility. Roles & Responsibilities: Complete all MDS nutrition assessments for assigned residents Complete nutrition care plans for assigned residents and attend family care plan meetings for those residents Assist Registered Dietician with any needed nutritional tasks Advocate for dignified dining for the residents by understanding each residents dining needs and preferences Observe and report resident food intake and dietary concerns or problems Attend Risk meetings and document on significant weight changes Qualifications: Associates degree or higher in nutrition, dietetics, food & nutrition, or ACEND-accredited DPD program required DTR or NDTR credential from the Commission on Dietetic Registration or Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) preferred Experience in a long-term care/rehab facility preferred Must be able to follow written and oral instructions and medical documentation Must have knowledge or nutrition and dietary standards This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds.
