Position Type: Technology/Program Systems Manager Date Posted: 3/3/2026 Location: District 207 Closing Date: 03/12/2026 SUMMARY The Program Systems Manager is responsible for the design, development, security, and ongoing optimization of the district's SQL-based data warehouse and enterprise data systems. This role builds and maintains data architecture that supports Tableau analytics, state and federal reporting, student information systems, HRIS, financial systems, and other enterprise applications. This position ensures data integrity, system integration, automation of processes, and scalable infrastructure to support district decision-making. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES/FUNCTIONS Assist the Director of Information Services and district administration with the accumulation, organization, and analysis of data. Own and maintain the district's SQL-based data warehouse, including schema design, performance optimization, and data modeling. Expand, implement and maintain the district data architecture to serve a wide variety of needs. Be able to define scope, structure, format, and secure access to existing and new databases. Provide support in maintaining the district's content management system and other database driven software. Writes and maintains programming scripts for the HRIS, financial, and student information systems Document data architecture, workflows, dependencies, and refresh schedules. Develop and maintain scripts, APIs, and automation processes to support enterprise systems. Work with the Information Services team to ensure data reporting is provided to district stakeholders, State and Federal governments. Optimize repetitive technical processes to reduce manual workload across departments. Implement secure data imports/exports using industry best practices. Communicate potential risks and risk mitigation plans for technology projects to the Director of Information Services and to administrations in each building. Collaborate with Technology Services and Network Services to ensure data system security and compliance. Keep abreast with trends and latest developments in software development, cloud technology, and database environments and recommend best practices including appropriate technology, software, and processes. Work closely with the Director of Technology Services to maintain and update systems and servers. Partner with the Director of Information Services and district leadership to align data systems with district goals. Other responsibilities defined by the Director of Information Services. REQUIRED SKILLS TO SUPPORT THESE RESPONSIBILITIES Advanced proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server, including query optimization, indexing strategies, and database performance tuning. Experience designing, maintaining, and optimizing a SQL-based data warehouse. Experience building and maintaining ETL processes and data integrations. Experience integrating enterprise systems (SIS, HRIS, financial systems). Experience supporting Tableau or other BI tools at the data source level. Strong understanding of data security, governance, and access control. Experience working with student information systems (Infinite Campus preferred). Ability to simplify, automate, and optimize complex technical processes. Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. PREFERRED SKILLS TO SUPPORT THESE RESPONSIBILITIES Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, related field, or equivalent experience Experience with API development and system integrations.
