Join Our Team as a 3rd Shift Ammonia Refrigeration Technician! A reputable food manufacturing company is seeking a dedicated Industrial Ammonia Refrigeration Specialist to ensure optimal performance and maintenance of our industrial refrigeration systems. This hands-on role is perfect for mechanically inclined professionals who prioritize safety, consistency, and independent work during off-shift hours. Key Responsibilities Conduct preventive maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and perform repairs on industrial ammonia refrigeration systems. Monitor and log daily performance metrics of refrigeration equipment. Inspect freezer and cooler evaporators, addressing fan performance, ice buildup, and condensate drainage as needed. Adjust compressor pressures and temperatures for optimal efficiency. Monitor ammonia levels in accumulators and high-pressure vessels. Adhere to all lockout/tagout, safety, and food safety protocols. Maintain a clean and safe workspace. Required Qualifications Ammonia Refrigeration Certification. Minimum of 1 year of experience in industrial maintenance. Welding skills. High School Diploma or GED. Proficient with hand and power tools; capability to read blueprints and drawings. Strong mechanical aptitude. Ability to work in varying temperature conditions and around moving equipment. Availability to work extended hours, including overtime as necessary. Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship. Work Hours: 9:00 p.m. - 5:30 a.m. Compensation: Hourly rate of $35-38/hr., plus shift differential, weekly attendance bonus, potential overtime, health benefits, company-provided disability, 401K, and PTO. Preferred Qualifications Experience in a USDA-inspected meat or food processing facility. Consistent work history. Attributes We Desire Reliable, safety-conscious technician with a strong work ethic.
