This department is a crucial component of a comprehensive cancer center, renowned for scientific excellence, multidisciplinary collaboration, and a commitment to advancing cancer care. The successful candidate will provide strategic, academic, and administrative leadership, focusing on shaping future directives and expanding both research and educational initiatives. Ideal candidates will demonstrate a strong track record of administrative leadership within the radiation oncology field, preferably within an integrated academic medical center or an NCI-designated cancer center. The successful applicant will be a collaborative physician with a robust background in research, education, and clinical excellence, holding qualifications suitable for a senior associate or full professor appointment. Required credentials include an M.D., M.D./Ph.D., or equivalent degree, current board certification in radiation oncology, and eligibility for licensure in California.
