Internal Medicine Physician Clinical Lead

Park West Health System (PWHS) is seeking an Internal Medicine Clinical Lead to provide high-quality adult primary care while supporting clinical leadership within our Internal Medicine department. This role is ideal for a mission-driven physician who wants to maintain a strong clinical focus (70-patient care with 30% administrative/leadership time.) Key Responsibilities Provide comprehensive adult primary care, including diagnosis, treatment, preventive care, PrEP/PEP, chronic disease management, and immunizations. Serve as EMR super user and provider advocate Support accreditation readiness (Joint Commission, HRSA, OSV, etc.). Mentor, supervise, and evaluate internal medicine clinical staff. Participate in the on-call rotation and clinical committees. Support development and implementation of clinical protocols and practice guidelines. Assist with onboarding, mentoring, and evaluating providers. Lead or co-lead internal medicine team meetings and quality improvement initiatives. Collaborate with the Chief Medical Officer on policies, compliance, and performance metrics. Contribute to planning and implementing new pediatric services and care delivery models. Support preventive health and wellness initiatives within the department. Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications MD or DO from an accredited medical school; or ECFMG-certified equivalent. Board Certified in Internal Medicine (or Family Medicine with strong adult medicine experience). Valid Maryland medical license and DEA certification (or eligibility). Minimum 3 years post-residency experience. Experience with managed care, PCMH requirements, and EMR systems. Ability to manage multiple clinical and administrative tasks efficiently. AAHIVM & Hepatitis C certification preferred.
