Essential Functions and Responsibilities Conduct field investigationsOperate equipment to locate subsurface utilitiesLabel topographic features from field codesPerform calculationsMark underground utilitiesOperate vacuum excavation truck in order to expose underground utilitiesInterpret roadway and utility plans, and utility record drawingsTravel required Nonessential Functions and Responsibilities Perform other related duties as assigned Required Skills Must successfully complete and pass JMT's Motor Vehicle screeningValid Driver’s License RequiredAble to pass Background CheckAble to work 7:00 am – 4:00 pm Monday – Friday (Minimum)Travel requiredAble to work outdoors in all weather conditions.Able to bend, kneel, lift and carry up to 75 lbs as needed.Team Attitude / Mindset Required Experience High school diploma or equivalent Preferred Experience 0 to 4 years of related experienceExperience in the location of underground utilities preferred but not necessaryExperience using GPR is preferred but not necessarySurveying experience preferred but not necessary Working ConditionsWork is performed in the field 95% of the time. Ability to extensively perform bending, kneeling, standing, shoveling, and lifting and carrying objects weighing up to 75 lbs. as needed. Work may be conducted outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions.Work is performed within a general office environment 5% of the time. Office work is generally sedentary in nature but may require occasional standing and walking.
