We are currently seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to produce a variety of estimates—from conceptual to detailed design—for intricate water-related projects. You will review design documents, proposals, specifications, and drawings, attend design development meetings, and conduct site visits to accurately define the scope of work and cost implications necessary for the estimating process. In this key role, you'll contribute significantly and mentor a knowledgeable team as you prepare estimates by creating project work breakdown structures, calculating comprehensive scope of work take-offs, assisting contract staff with statements of work for subcontractors and vendors, applying construction methodologies, developing schedules, and estimating direct and indirect field and owner's costs. You'll collaborate with design teams to ensure the quality and quantity of design input required to yield accurate design-build construction estimates. This position calls for both creative and analytical thinking as you generate reports and presentations while analyzing historical data. Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management Proficient with current technology (Word, Excel, estimating, scheduling, and database software) Strong understanding of estimating organizational structure and processes, including quantity takeoff, crew development, productivity relationships, material quotations, risk analysis, knowledge of markup structures, and estimate documentation Experienced in quantitative risk analysis software such as @Risk and Primavera Risk Analysis Familiarity with industry estimating software, including Timberline, HCSS Heavy Bid, and MII Estimating systems Understanding of project scheduling and ability to use Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project Willingness to travel to meet project needs Background in electrical estimating for water projects Ideally, you'll also possess: Experience with Design Build projects Ability to work independently Strong interpersonal skills for relationship building and conflict resolution Experience mentoring junior staff Join us at Jacobs as we partner globally to achieve optimal project outcomes by leveraging design, digital technology, and the capabilities of our Global Integrated Delivery (GID) teams. #LI-JL1 Jacobs is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
