Overview Dental Hygienist Periodontology, Inc is looking for a compassionate and detail-oriented Dental Care Hygienist to become an essential part of our team. In this rewarding role, you will deliver high-quality preventive dental care, educate patients on optimal oral hygiene practices, and collaborate with our dental team to ensure an exceptional patient experience. Your clinical expertise and patient-first approach will be vital in enhancing long-term oral health in our community. Schedule: Full Time, 4 days/week, 7:00am - 4:30pm Responsibilities: Perform thorough dental cleanings including scaling, polishing, and root planing as necessary. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays). Conduct comprehensive oral health assessments and document conditions of teeth and gums. Educate patients on effective oral hygiene techniques and preventive care strategies. Apply sealants and fluoride treatments when appropriate. Prepare treatment rooms and ensure sterilization of instruments according to infection control protocols. Assist the dentist during exams and procedures as needed. Accurately document patient care and treatment plans in dental records. Monitor hygiene supplies and equipment, ensuring availability and compliance with standards. Ensure adherence to HIPAA, OSHA, and other regulatory standards. Please note that additional responsibilities may be assigned. Qualifications: Valid Dental Hygiene license in the state of practice. Associate degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program. Preferred Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal abilities. Gentle and compassionate chairside manner. Proficiency with dental software and digital charting. Ability to work independently and collaboratively. Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to providing high-quality care. Familiarity with common dental procedures and patient education techniques.
