Shift Detail: Evening Shift RN 24hrs 5pm-1:30am Join our dedicated team at Hartford HealthCare, where every moment truly matters. Position Overview: As a Registered Nurse in our Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), you will play a critical role in the recovery of patients from various anesthesia types while providing exceptional postoperative care. Our 28-bed PACU serves a diverse array of surgical procedures, including general surgery, urology, gynecology, neurosurgery, plastic surgery, thoracic and vascular surgeries, cardiac procedures (TAVR), bariatric surgery, colorectal surgery, and ENT and OMF surgeries. Additionally, you will manage the recovery of patients undergoing GI advanced procedures, outpatient colonoscopy, and endoscopy. Our unit is fast-paced, receiving patients from over 40 operating rooms, and operates 24/7. While ICU experience is preferred, we will consider candidates with ED, step-down, and floor level experience on a case-by-case basis. ACLS certification is essential for external candidates, as our care includes ICU and step-down patients. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 2:1, and we are looking for individuals with a positive outlook, an open mind, and a can-do attitude. Qualifications: Current Connecticut RN License. Graduate of an accredited nursing school. ICU experience preferred. BSN preferred. BLS certification by the American Heart Association required prior to the date of hire. ACLS certification required for external candidates.
