The Clinical Associate Manager (formerly Primary Care Physician) is a crucial member of our clinical operations team, focusing on delivering direct patient care and assessments primarily within an ambulatory health care center setting. Your role may also extend to acute care, nursing homes, skilled nursing facilities, and home settings, depending on assignment needs. Your responsibilities will encompass: conducting geriatric assessments, obtaining medical histories, performing physical exams, diagnosing and treating conditions, developing comprehensive care plans, providing health education, facilitating specialty referrals, and ensuring clear clinical documentation adheres to ChenMed standards of quality, service, and collaboration. Key Duties: Serve as an independent primary care practitioner within a cohesive patient care team. Assess and address both acute and non-acute clinical issues independently. Conduct thorough patient assessments and implement management plans based on collected data. Prepare patient care plans tailored to the specific population, taking into account cultural sensitivities and support systems. Oversee patient management, including documentation of treatment orders and clinical interactions. Engage in collaborative patient care rounds, sharing insights and strategies with team members. Proactively respond to situations requiring immediate intervention, including life-saving procedures. Utilize strong communication skills to navigate complex situations and enhance patient care processes. Continuously seek improvement and implement effective health care delivery systems. Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite and various relevant applications. Willingness to travel locally and occasionally nationally for training and recruitment, if applicable. Fluency in English, both written and verbal, with knowledge of other languages a plus. Ability to exercise independent judgment in clinical settings. Qualifications: MD or DO in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Geriatrics, or a related specialty required. Active MD licensure in your state of employment is mandatory. A minimum of one year of clinical experience in a geriatric or family practice setting preferred. Completion of comprehensive Chen Medical training is part of your growth journey. Board certification in a relevant specialty is preferred; Board eligibility is required. Current DEA number for controlled substances is essential. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within the first 90 days. Compensation and Benefits: This role offers a competitive salary range of $231,876 - $331,251.
