Excel Program at Episcopal Academy - Aquatics DirectorWho You AreThe Excel Program at The Episcopal Academy seeks a seasonal Aquatics Director to lead and manage the camp's summer aquatics operations (June 8-August 7, 2026), prioritizing the safety and well-being of staff and campers. Reporting to the Excel Program Director, the Aquatics Director is a confident, safety-focused leader who enjoys working with children and mentoring staff and brings strong organizational skills, a collaborative mindset, and a commitment to creating a positive, inclusive camp environment.What You Will Do Lead and supervise the lifeguard team throughout the camp seasonDevelop weekly schedules and assign staff to swim lessons and lifeguard shiftsOversee group swim instruction for children of all ages and skill levelsEnsure pool safety through supervision, drills, and adherence to all aquatics protocolsMonitor staff performance, provide feedback, and support professional growthCommunicate health and safety concerns to program leadershipCollaborate with summer staff and assist with alternative activities during pool closuresMaintain required documentation and follow all program and aquatics procedures About YouThe ideal candidate for the Aquatics Director will possess the following: Available to work a full weekly schedule (typically 8:30 AM - 3:00 PM)Red Cross Lifeguard Certified prior to camp startPrior experience teaching, coaching, or leading staffExperience working with childrenPhysically able to perform rescues and lift up to 35 poundsValid driver's license and ability to complete required background checks About UsLocated 16 miles outside of Philadelphia, we are united by our shared mission, rich history, and dedication to excellence.
