Maintenance Manager - Part Time

Responsibilities:Assist in maintaining school buildings and grounds in excellent condition.Help promote the safety, health, and comfort of students and employees throughout school buildings and grounds.Vendor management and communication.Maintain high standards of safety, cleanliness, and efficiency in all maintenance and repair projects.Move equipment and materials within and between school buildings as needed.Work overtime during emergencies to prevent disruption of school operations.Serve as a substitute custodian when necessary.Follow and uphold all district policies at all times.Stay informed about new information, innovative ideas, and maintenance techniques.Serve as the primary contact for emergency-related issues after 3:00 PM.Adhere to all district health and safety policies, including the Bloodborne Pathogens Exposure Control Plan.Perform other duties as assigned by Administrative Staff. Requirements: QUALIFICATIONSHigh school diploma or equivalent experience requiredBoiler licenses preferredPrevious maintenance experience, preferably in a school setting COMPETENCIES -- KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and EXPERIENCEAbility to perform a variety of basic maintenance tasks using hand and power tools.Ability to read and follow repair and instruction manuals.Strong communication and customer service skills PHYSICAL DEMANDSAbility to lift up to 50 pounds.Ability to walk up and down stairs during emergency drills or situations.
