An exceptional opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse specializing in the Operating Room to support general surgery procedures including Urology, Gynecology, and Orthopedics. This contract position offers a dynamic work environment utilizing advanced surgical technologies such as the DaVinci Xi robotic system, Hana Table, Arthrex tower, and Beach Chair positioning. Location:Located in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, this role is based in a well-equipped surgical department known for its innovative approach and commitment to patient care. Responsibilities: Provide circulating nursing support during general surgery including urology, gynecology, and orthopedic cases, including robotic-assisted surgeries Collaborate effectively with surgical teams to ensure patient safety and optimal workflow Manage surgical equipment such as DaVinci Xi robot, Hana Table, Arthrex tower, and Beach Chair Adhere to hospital policies including dress code (black scrubs provided) and infection control guidelines Participate in rotating weekend call approximately every 6-7 days and be available for scheduled late shifts as needed Qualifications and Desired Experience: Active RN license with at least 1 year of operating room experience Proficient in general surgery as well as specialized knowledge in urology, gynecology, and orthopedic procedures Experience using advanced surgical equipment including DaVinci Xi robotic system and arthroplasty tools BLS certification (AHA) required Flexible and hardworking team player who adapts well to a variety of surgical cases Schedule: 4x10 hour day shifts per week with a 6-week schedule allowing a maximum of 3 Fridays or Mondays off Approximately 36 guaranteed hours weekly Additional Information: Flu vaccination is mandatory for this role during the flu season (Nov 1 Apr 1), with client-approved exemptions only The position features a strictly black scrub dress code supplied by the hospital Contract position with competitive pay adjusted for local candidates About Cape Girardeau, MO:Cape Girardeau offers a blend of Midwestern charm and cultural richness alongside access to quality healthcare services.
