Potential for a lifelong Career Fluent Spanish Speaking Requirement Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Certified Pharmacy Technician to join our healthcare team. This role involves supporting pharmacy operations across various settings, including LTC (Long-Term Care), hospital, and acute care environments. The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of medical terminology and medication administration. The Certified Pharmacy Technician will play a vital role in ensuring accurate medication dispensing, patient care, and efficient pharmacy workflows. Responsibilities Prepare and dispense medications accurately under the supervision of a pharmacist, including IV infusions and aseptic preparations. Assist with medication intake, inventory management, and restocking supplies within the pharmacy setting. Provide exceptional patient service by answering questions related to medications and ensuring patient care needs are met efficiently. Support hospital or LTC pharmacy operations by managing medication orders, verifying prescriptions, and maintaining detailed documentation. Ensure compliance with all safety protocols, including aseptic techniques and infection control procedures. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to facilitate medication administration and optimize patient outcomes. Maintain accurate records of medication dispensing, patient interactions, and inventory logs in accordance with regulatory standards. Requirements Valid certification as a Pharmacy Technician in accordance with state regulations. Fluent Spanish Speaking Requirement Prior experience in LTC pharmacy, hospital settings, or acute care environments is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, medication administration processes, and IV infusion procedures. Experience with pharmacy technician responsibilities such as intake processing, medication preparation, and inventory management. Excellent patient service skills with a compassionate approach to patient care. Ability to work effectively within a team in fast-paced healthcare settings. Prior pharmacy technician experience in critical care or hospital environments is preferred but not mandatory.
