Department/Unit: Vascular Surgery - C5 Work Shift: Nights Salary Range: $88,192.00 - $136,697.60 Job Description Summary The Clinical Nurse plays a vital role in creating a compassionate and caring environment for patients, families, and colleagues through kindness and active listening. Job Responsibilities Implement physician orders, administer medications, start IVs, perform treatments, procedures, and special tests, documenting all care according to company policy and legal requirements. Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to assess and identify patients' conditions effectively. Assess and evaluate patient needs and their responses to care rendered. Apply sound nursing judgment in managing patient care decisions. Provide primary and emergency care for both occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses. Administer over-the-counter and prescription medications as ordered by the physician. Collaborate with the nursing team to create individualized Plans of Care for all patients. Direct and guide ancillary personnel while upholding professional nursing standards. Minimum Qualifications Graduate of a professional academic nursing program, holding a Diploma, Associate Degree, or Baccalaureate Degree. Current NYS Registered Nurse license required. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) must be obtained and maintained. 1-3 years of clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care is preferred. Strong communication, prioritization, organizational, and time-management skills. Knowledge of quality concepts, principles, and problem-solving tools, demonstrated in support of departmental and patient care quality improvement.
