Job Details Location: Sioux Falls, South Dakota (57105) - Sioux Falls healthcare / South Dakota nursing jobs Assignment Type: Travel nursing assignment (Travel Operating Room RN / OR nurse) Start Date: March 30, 2026 End Date: June 29, 2026 Duration: 13 weeks Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week Shift: 12-hour day shifts (typically 6:30am - 7:00pm); 1 late shift per week Call: 2-4 night call shifts per 4-week schedule, plus 3-7 extra 2-hour call shifts Weekend Requirement: Every 6th weekend (call or working) with a weekday day off to reflect this Setting: Acute Care - Operating Room (35 ORs across multiple surgical specialties) Charting System: EPIC (EPIC experience preferred) Scrubs: Ceil Blue scrubs provided Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,290-$2,410 per week Qualifications / Job Requirements Active RN license (must be eligible to practice in South Dakota) Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required BLS certification required Minimum 1 year recent Operating Room RN experience (perioperative experience preferred) Experience circulating in the OR and working across surgical specialties (thoracic, pediatric OR, PACU exposure a plus) Ability to work independently, adapt quickly, and provide flexible coverage across units Professional appearance and adherence to surgical dress code (no earrings; scrubs provided) Must badge in/out at facility and complete required orientation Responsibilities Serve as the circulating Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) for one OR room, ensuring patient safety and high-quality perioperative care Participate in a variety of surgical procedures, including thoracic surgery, surgical pathology, sub-acute cases, pediatric PACU, and pediatric OR Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, perioperative nurses, and support staff to optimize patient outcomes Manage intraoperative documentation and charting using EPIC with accuracy and timeliness Respond to call shifts and fulfill the every-6th-weekend schedule as assigned Complete orientation to the hospital, EPIC, and relevant units (pre-op, PACU) within the first week of the assignment Adhere to all hospital policies, sterile technique, and perioperative protocols Why Join This Travel OR RN Opportunity Work in a modern, high-volume surgical center with diverse case mix - excellent for perioperative skill growth Gain travel nurse experience in Sioux Falls - a vibrant community with parks, local amenities, and welcoming neighborhoods EPIC-charting exposure and orientation support to help you ramp up quickly Scrubs provided and supportive surgical team committed to professional collaboration Advance your career as an Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) on a rewarding travel assignment in Sioux Falls, SD.
