Job Description

Join our dedicated team as a Part-Time Physician Assistant Specialist, providing exceptional patient care in a dynamic office environment. Your expertise will play a vital role in enhancing patient experiences and outcomes. Key Responsibilities: Gather and document patient histories in comprehensive charts. Collaborate with physicians on patient findings to formulate diagnoses and treatment plans. Exercise professional judgment for appropriate treatment consultations with supervising physicians. Develop, implement, and update patient care plans while providing valuable counseling and education to patients. Prescribe medications and treatments according to state guidelines and clinic protocols. Deliver diagnosis and treatment services to existing patients efficiently. Conduct educational sessions using media resources and direct patients to informative websites. Assist in patient rooming and flow management as needed to optimize office efficiency. Process prescription requests and ensure thorough documentation in patient charts. Schedule appointments while prioritizing emergency cases and maintaining a steady patient flow. Respond to patient inquiries and phone messages, documenting all actions taken. Triage calls to provide timely guidance to patients and their families, recording necessary details in patient charts. Additional Duties: Adhere to patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations and practice compliance guidelines. Maintain proficiency in practice management and relevant software applications. Attend required training sessions for CPR, OSHA, HIPAA, and OIG. Participate actively in regular team meetings and fulfill additional tasks as assigned by management. Engage in professional development and maintain affiliations within the healthcare community. Organize educational seminars for patients and interested stakeholders. Complete all required training within specified deadlines. Uphold Allergy Partners' policies and report any violations appropriately. Physical Demands: This position requires a full range of motion, manual dexterity, and eye-hand coordination. You will frequently stand, walk, and occasionally lift up to 30 pounds. Normal visual acuity and hearing ability are necessary. The role may involve working in stressful conditions and exposure to bodily fluids. Working Conditions: Expect frequent exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, and situations typical in a clinical environment. Compensation: Compensation will vary based on relevant knowledge, skills, and experience. Qualifications: PA degree is required. Current licensure must be maintained. Preferred Experience: A minimum of two years in a physician's office or hospital setting. Proficient in making independent patient care decisions. Experience in diagnosing and treating patients effectively. Understanding of managed care principles with experience in a managed care and Medicare environment. Proficient with email usage and internet applications. Familiar with practice management and word processing software. Excellent communication skills and a neat, professional appearance.
