A Day in the Life of a Physical Therapist Assistant As a PTA in home health care, you play a vital role in helping patients improve mobility, strength, and independence. Your responsibilities include: Providing treatments planned, delegated, and supervised by the evaluating Physical Therapist Assisting with therapeutic exercises and functional mobility training Teaching patients and caregivers how to safely perform exercises and activities Coordinating care with other home health team members to ensure well-rounded treatment Maintaining accurate documentation in accordance with CMS requirements, including functional reassessments Practicing infection control and universal precautions Reporting suspected abuse according to state and federal guidelines Assisting with new-hire orientation and participating in training activities when needed You take pride in delivering high-quality care that directly improves patients' lives. Qualifications Successful completion of an accredited physical therapy assistant program Current Oklahoma PTA license in good standing At least 1 year of physical therapy experience CPR certification (or ability to obtain within 60 days) Ability to meet the physical demands of the job We're looking for someone who communicates clearly, stays organized, manages time well, and maintains a positive, professional demeanor.
