In this hands-on position, the Human Resources Intern will gain practical experience in the field of Human Resources within a dynamic organization. The HR intern will assist in a variety of areas including but not limited to: Talent Acquisition, Compliance, Communication, Onboarding, Employee Wellness Initiatives, and Employee engagement. This role will also have the opportunity to network with all other departments within the organization. Internship Term: Summer 2026; 29.5 hours/week; On-site This position will be with Stratacor, an affiliate of Delta Dental of Minnesota. Essential Functions: Assist with the sourcing and reviewing of resumes utilizing resume databases and applicant tracking systems Assist with employee onboarding, including pre-boarding activities, orientation scheduling, and facilitation to deliver a seamless new-hire experience Updating company databases by inputting new employee contact information and employment details Assist with HR and people analytics reporting, including, employee metrics, and survey results; analyze trends and present insights to HR leadership Providing suitable recommendations to improve HR processes and procedures Manage and coordinate special projects as assigned by the Human Resources team Other duties as required. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Highest degree of professionalism, integrity and confidentiality; demonstrated discretion in the handling of highly sensitive material and information Effective written and verbal communication skills within a business context Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Strong analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills Highly organized; ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously Team Player - ability to see the big picture goals of the organization and contribute on day-to-day tasks Education and Experience: Currently pursuing a Bachelors' degree in Human Resources or a related field Minimum of a junior status for the 2026-2027 academic year Work Environments/Physical Demands: Travel Requirements: Minimal; may attend local career fairs and offsite employee events Weight Lifting Requirements: 20 lbs. Sedentary Work: Prolonged periods of sitting at a workstation while working on a computer Relationships: Reports To: Human Resources Director Directly Manages: None Internal Relationships: Interactions with all employees including management External Relationships: Customers, potential candidates, vendors and visitors Benefits & Compensation: Benefits for this position include earned sick and safe time. The salary for this position is $18.50 hourly. Salary offers will typically be made in the listed range. The Company takes into consideration a candidate's education, training, and experience, as well as the position's work location, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value, including merit process and internal pay alignment when determining the salary for potential new team members.
