A skilled Registered Nurse with experience in medical-surgical care and telemetry is sought for a rewarding opportunity in Jacksonville, TX. This contract role involves working night shifts on a specialized medical-surgical unit with a focus on renal and urological patient care. Key Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with renal and urological conditions, including post-prostate surgery, renal stones, and bladder/kidney surgeries. Manage specialized procedures such as 3-way catheter irrigations, bladder scans, and incontinence care. Float to units of equal or lesser acuity as needed to support staffing and patient care. Document patient care accurately using the Epic charting system. Maintain patient ratios typically at 1:6, ensuring safe and effective care. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes. Qualifications and Desired Experience: Current RN license with at least 2 years medical-surgical nursing experience. Experience working with Epic electronic health records is required. BLS and NIHSS certifications required. Prior travel nursing experience is necessary for this role. Ability to work night shifts consistently (3 twelve-hour shifts per week from 7 PM to 7 AM). Comfortable working on a telemetry-capable unit with a variety of adult patient populations.
