We are seeking a dedicated Associate RN to join the Emergency Department team during night shifts. This role is pivotal in ensuring quality patient care by effectively utilizing resources and supporting staff to deliver exceptional service. Key Responsibilities Manage daily patient assignments and coordinate care rounds with physicians. Serve as a primary contact for physicians and administrative staff. Provide support and guidance to nurses, nursing assistants, monitoring technicians, and unit secretaries. Assist with clinical procedures and verify physician orders. Conduct daily quality control and equipment checks within the unit. Evaluate patient acuity and assist in staff performance assessments. Support clinical education efforts in the absence of designated educators. Engage with patients and families regularly to ensure comfort and understanding. Collaborate with care coordinators, discharge planners, and nursing supervisors to optimize patient placement and care transitions. Implement hospital innovation initiatives and monitor staff performance related to patient satisfaction metrics. Maintain effective communication with leadership, physicians, and team members, utilizing mobile communication tools as needed. Education Associate degree in Nursing is required. A Bachelor of Science in Nursing is preferred. Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in a compact state or equivalent is mandatory. Experience Minimum of three years of clinical nursing experience is required, preferably in an emergency or acute care setting. Skills and Abilities Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written. Effective organizational, teaching, and leadership capabilities. Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods. Ability to safely handle exposure to blood or other potentially infectious materials.
