This is a full-time position dedicated exclusively to our Day Neuro program in Fort Worth. The schedule for this position will be weekdays 8:00AM to 5:00PM with no weekend or evening hours. This is an outpatient based program that focuses on individuals with acquired brain injury and spinal cord injury, emphasizing return to work, school, community engagement, and driving. We are seeking a candidate with strong neurological rehab skills who works well in a team setting. The candidate will collaborate with the multi-disciplinary team to treat and evaluate patient's post-acute neurological injuries including brain injury, stroke, spinal cord injury, or other neurological conditions. Specific Duties Evaluates assigned patients and establishes appropriate treatment goals and treatment programs. Provides ongoing evaluation of the patient's status and goals, modifying the treatment program to ensure timely progression. Develops comprehensive goals for patient treatment to maximize outcomes and support return to community activities. Coordinates the treatment program with other clinical/therapeutic services and available community resources; attends appropriate clinical meetings to support coordination. Provides patient education, including developing comprehensive and progressive home programs with instruction for the patient, family, and caregivers to ensure a safe and effective discharge. Prepares for patient discharge, including ordering necessary equipment and recommending therapeutic services to support continuity of care. Evaluates patients in actual or simulated home, school, work, or community environments as needed, making recommendations for adaptations or training that support returning to community activities. Identifies and manages various levels of care required to ensure effective delivery of the care plan; delegates and supervises COTAs and support personnel to maximize patient outcomes and service utilization. Qualifications Current state licensure or eligibility for state licensure as a Occupational Therapist required. Certified BLS or completion in the first 90 days of employment required.
