Our Surgical-Trauma Intensive Care Unit is a state-of-the-art 14-bed facility specializing in care for various critical conditions. Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Nurse Manager (RN) to oversee operations in our Surgical ICU. In this vital role, you will supervise patient care and clinical staff, ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care in alignment with the hospital's strategic goals. This position includes responsibility for daily operations, including off-shift and weekend supervision, resource management, quality improvement initiatives, and maintaining a safe therapeutic environment. Qualifications: Current Connecticut Registered Nurse license required. Bachelor's degree required; Master’s degree preferred. One degree must be in Nursing. Certification in nursing administration to be obtained within 5 years of assuming the position. Minimum of 2-3 years of relevant clinical experience. CPR certification preferred. Demonstrated progressive leadership skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential. Candidates making progress toward educational requirements may be considered individually.
