Examples of Duties I. Service 90% 1. Demonstrates, by actions, commitment to the mission and the behavioral standards of SIU Medicine. Provide consultation and patient care under the terms of the SIU Medicine. Meet Meaningful Use and other mandated documentation requirements. 5. Set an example to future practitioners of a highly skilled and conscientious practice of Primary Care Pediatrics that is balanced with self-education and other academic activities. 6. Adhere to SIU Medicine's Standards of Service, compliance, patient satisfaction and provider communication. 7. Serve as an advocate for programs and services that improve the health and well-being of children in Central and Southern Illinois 8. Attend departmental faculty meetings and division meeting via electronic systems. 9. Participate in Primary Care Call pool, hospital rounding and newborn schedule. II. Teaching 5% 1. Assist in the direct observation and supervision of medical students and residents in the outpatient setting. 2. Provide medical student and resident evaluation feedback per program requirements. 3. Communicate regarding concerns with individual resident performance to residency program director. III. Research and Quality Improvement 5% 1. Participate in Quality Improvement (QI) initiatives with dedicated time for those projects related to the Patient Centered Medical Home Initiative (PCMH) and community health. The final academic base salary will be determined by a thorough assessment of available market data, internal salary equity, candidate experience and qualifications, and budget considerations.
