Are you an advanced provider looking to work in a fast-paced environment with the best in-class group of surgeons? Join our team at Riley Hospital for Children in Indianapolis, Indiana ! We have an outstanding opening for a patient-focused Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant who has a passion for pediatrics and surgery. Position Details: Full-time, Days Shift 3x12s Weekend Option (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) Set Schedule. 5am-5pm Rotation for major holidays 100% Inpatient No Call Expected patient volume: Service can have a range of 30-50 total (Primary & Consult) patients at any time Patient population: Pediatric general surgery and trauma, Newborn - age 18 Procedures include: CVL removal/repair, staple or suture removal, drain removal, chest tube removal, vessel loop removal, t-fastener removal, rectal irrigation or dilation, gtube change/maintenance Providers: 12 physicians and with 8 IP APPs, 3 OP APPs, and 1 IP Night APP Responsibilities: Work in collaboration with Pediatric General Surgeon and resident/fellow trainees to provide care to a variety of surgical, post operative, trauma population First line of communication for nursing as well as other service lines and trainees at Riley Hospital for Children for PGS service Inpatient rounding and cross coverage of PGS patient population Qualifications: FNP, PNP or PA certification required Will accept new graduates. 3-5 years of APP Experience working with pediatric patients preferred Experience with pediatric general surgery and trauma populations preferred IU Health offers a value-based compensation package that includes: group insurance (health, dental, life, disability), 401k with company match, generous PTO, CME allowance/time off, relocation assistance, and malpractice insurance coverage.
