As a Certified Nursing Assistant, you will play a key role in a community-focused organization that cares as deeply for its staff as it does for its patients. Your Role as a CNA in Hospice Care Every day brings opportunities for meaningful connections. In this role, you will provide hands-on support to help our patients feel safe, comforted, and well-cared for. You will work closely with a registered nurse and visit patients in their homes, supporting families and bringing calm to those in need. Key Responsibilities Provide personal and physical care under RN supervision, including bathing, grooming, oral care, and skin/hair care. Perform homemaker duties such as meal preparation, bed-making, light housekeeping, and assisting with feeding. Assist with patient mobility, transfers, range-of-motion exercises, and positioning. Reinforce dressings as necessary and adhere to infection control and safety protocols. Offer emotional support, compassionate listening, and reassurance to both patients and their families. Support the primary caregiver through guidance and hands-on help as part of the hospice care team. Schedule & Benefits Full-time position serving patients in Boone and DeKalb counties. Competitive pay: $20.50-$26.37 per hour, commensurate with experience. Requirements High school diploma or GED. Illinois State Nursing Assistant Certificate. Preferred: One year of CNA, nursing home, or home health experience.
