What You'll Do Develop, maintain, and manage strong supplier relationships that ensure quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness Monitor and forecast inventory requirements to align purchasing decisions with operational needs Source, negotiate, and secure favorable terms on parts, materials, and equipment Oversee the purchase order process, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with negotiated agreements Track and evaluate supplier performance; identify and resolve issues to maintain high standards Research emerging products, materials, and technologies to strengthen our competitive edge Partner closely with internal teams (operations, sales, and service) to support company-wide goals What We're Looking For Proven purchasing/procurement experience (manufacturing, distribution, or heavy equipment industry preferred) Experience in vendor management, sourcing strategies, and contract negotiation Proficiency in Microsoft Office; ERP system experience is highly desirable Strong analytical ability to forecast needs, evaluate cost drivers, and manage budgets Excellent communication and relationship-building skills A self-starter who can work independently yet thrives in a team-oriented environment Leadership potential or prior experience at a manager level is a plus Why Join Kimball?
