Description Conduct comprehensive evaluations for patients across pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics, utilizing established assessments and observational strategies. Create individualized treatment plans targeting both immediate objectives and long-term communication, cognitive, and swallowing enhancement. Deliver focused speech therapy interventions championing communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing. Partner with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nursing staff, physicians, caregivers, and families to forge comprehensive care plans. Provide education and resources for patients and their families, supporting lasting progress beyond sessions. Participate in occasional inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions, ensuring patients experience seamless care along their healing journey. Maintain meticulous and timely documentation in accordance with state, federal, and organizational standards. Stay abreast of advancements within the field through ongoing education and collaboration with peers. Education A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized university. Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if certification by ASHA has yet to be achieved. Certifications State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist . ASHA's Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) is preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within the first 30 days of employment. Skills Expertise in evidence-driven therapeutic approaches, with a deep understanding of both developmental and acquired communication and swallowing disorders.
