Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Med Surg Discipline: RN Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel M/S Tele RN Nights & EOW - 36hrs. MUST BE ABLE TO READ TELE STRIPS FREE on-site Parking Unit Name: Davenport 5 - Surgical Stepdown Unit. Brief Unit Description: Two Med/Surgical Units. One 15 bed unit and one 8 bed Surgical Stepdown Unit. Floating Required: Yes. Rotating Shifts Required: No. Years of Experience Required : 2 years. Skill Sets Required: Telemetry monitoring (must be able to read tele strips), management of Chest tube, NGT, epidurals, and Capnography. Skills Sets Preferred: Management of Arterial lines and management of neo-synephrine. Clinician to Patient Ratio: Patient ratios are 6-10 patients per PCA and 3-5 patients per RN. Stepdown ratios are 2-3 per RN. Patient Population: We care for patients after the following types of Surgeries: General, GYN, Vascular, Thoracic, Urology, Oral, Plastics, and Trauma. Bed Count: 23.
