An opportunity is available for an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) to provide exceptional perioperative care in a busy surgical environment. This contract position offers a rewarding chance to work with a diverse patient population across multiple surgical specialties while utilizing EPIC EMR and advanced surgical technologies. Qualifications and Desired Experience: Current RN licensure with a minimum of 2 years of operating room experience in specialties such as Orthopedics, Cardiothoracic, Vascular, General Surgery, Urology, Robotic Surgery, GYN, Colon, Breast, Spine, Podiatry, or Plastic Surgery BLS certification required Proficiency with EPIC electronic medical records system preferred Strong clinical judgment and effective communication skills to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team Ability to manage multiple surgical procedures efficiently in a fast-paced setting Location: This role is based in Concord, NC, a vibrant city with rich cultural heritage and thriving communities. Responsibilities: Circulate during various surgical cases including orthopedic joint replacements, spine surgeries, general and robotic procedures, urological and gynecological surgeries, breast and plastic surgeries, among others Ensure patient safety through strict adherence to perioperative protocols and infection control guidelines Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical teams to prepare and coordinate all aspects of patient care before, during, and after surgery Utilize advanced surgical equipment and technologies such as Alaris IV pumps, Omnicell medication dispensing systems, and Phillips monitoring devices Participate in call rotations including weeknight and weekend calls, as well as holiday coverage, to provide continuous patient care support Complete an orientation period tailored to the specific OR unit requirements Schedule: 12-hour day shifts (7 a.m. to 7 p.m.), with a 36-hour workweek Call responsibilities approximately 3-4 weeknight calls and 1-2 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule Benefits and Perks: Free parking on-site Provided scrub colors and support staff including OR assistants and anesthesia team Access to a well-equipped department with modern technology ensuring a supportive work environment Take advantage of this contract opportunity to enhance your perioperative nursing skills, gain diverse surgical experience, and contribute to excellent patient outcomes.
