Provide specialized care as an Occupational Therapist supporting patients in a hospital rehabilitation setting, including inpatients, outpatients, and home health service recipients. This full-time, day-shift role involves creating and implementing individualized treatment programs that promote independence through functional pre-vocational, homemaking, and daily living activities. Collaboration with an interdisciplinary team is essential to maximize patient outcomes across various age groups and conditions. Responsibilities: Develop and deliver occupational therapy treatment plans tailored to patient needs in hospital, home health, hospice, and skilled nursing environments. Address physical disabilities, geriatrics, arthritis, cardiac, and stroke rehabilitation with evidence-based approaches. Support patients in improving daily living and pre-vocational skills to enhance independence. Collaborate closely with healthcare team members to coordinate comprehensive patient care. Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to clinical and regulatory standards. Qualifications and Desired Experience: Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program. Illinois licensure or eligibility required. Certification by the American Occupational Therapy Association's Board of Registry. Prior hospital rehabilitation experience preferred. Knowledge of physical disabilities, geriatrics, and neurological rehabilitation techniques such as Neuro-Developmental Treatment (NDT) and sensory integration is advantageous. Splinting experience is beneficial but not mandatory. Valid driver's license (if applicable). Current CPR certification.
