Speech Therapist

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) for a 13-week contract assignment. The SLP will be responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, and treating patients with communication, cognitive-linguistic, and swallowing disorders. This role requires strong clinical skills, compassion, and the ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team. Key Responsibilities Conduct evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans for residents. Provide therapy for speech, language, swallowing, and cognitive impairments. Document assessments, progress notes, and care plans accurately and in a timely manner. Collaborate with nursing staff, rehabilitation team members, and physicians to optimize patient outcomes. Educate patients, families, and caregivers on treatment goals and strategies. Participate in team meetings, discharge planning, and interdisciplinary discussions. Qualifications Active and current state SLP license (must be in good standing). Minimum experience: Less than 1 year required (newer clinicians encouraged to apply). Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively within a Skilled Nursing Facility environment.
