Our Credit team is recruiting to add an experienced Credit Assistant to our team in Sacramento. This position is full-time and 100% on-site at our branch in Natomas, CA. The role provides administrative and operational support to the credit department with all aspects of credit and collections. Working with internal stakeholders and customers, their day to day will focus on reviewing aging, b2b collections, and ensuring all information collected is entered/uploaded into our proprietary systems. A high attention to detail and the ability to navigate difficult conversations, professionally, is a must in this role. The ideal candidate will possess 2-3 years collections and/or accounting experience, construction industry preferred. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Review aged accounts receivable report and present information to credit manager when limit requested exceeds guidelines or reports are conflicting Provide customers with all lien releases Contact delinquent accounts to request payment. Record promises on account and schedules follow-up calls for payment status. Working with other employees regarding customer problems Other duties as assigned Education & Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies: Detail Oriented and Organized Pays close attention to all aspects of the work: notices minor details; identifies inaccuracies and errors; organizes work and workspace and utilizes systems to ensure work is prioritized, completely and accurately. Problem Solving Identifies and resolve problems promptly; gathers and analyzes information skillfully; develops alternative solutions; works well in group problem solving situations; uses reason even when dealing with emotional topics. Interpersonal Skills Maintains confidentiality; keeps emotions under control. Oral Communication Speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations; listens and gets clarification; responds well to questions; participates in meetings. Written Communication Writes clearly and informatively; edits work for spelling and grammar; presents numerical data effectively; able to read and interpret written information. Skills: Language Skills : Ability to read and interpret documents and writes routine correspondence. Ability to speak effectively with customers/vendors or other employees. Mathematical Skills : Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent. Reasoning Ability : Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situation. Computer Skills : Working experience with MS Excel and MSWord. Demonstrated ability to learn new software quickly. Experience with Epicor Eclipse is plus. 10-key proficient. If there is an offer, the salary presented will consider several factors including, but not limited to, geographical location, a candidate's experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, training, and internal equity.
