Join Our Team as a Temp - CSFA - Operating Room (OR) (Days) in Midland, MI Are you a dedicated Certified Surgical First Assistant (CSFA) seeking an impactful opportunity in a dynamic environment? Our healthcare facility is looking for a passionate professional to support our surgical teams in the Operating Room during daytime hours. This role is essential in ensuring surgical procedures are conducted safely, efficiently, and with the highest quality patient care. Key Responsibilities: Prepare the surgical suite by assisting the surgical technologist and registered nurse in gathering and verifying equipment, instruments, and supplies. Ensure all necessary supplies are available, functional, and properly charged. Assist the surgeon with intraoperative technical functions such as positioning, draping, retracting, suctioning, tissue handling, cautery, suturing, and applying dressings. Support the operating room team in patient transportation, positioning, and overall care. Demonstrate knowledge of surgical procedures, anatomy, physiology, and operative techniques related to specific surgeries. Required Skills: Valid certification as a Certified Surgical First Assistant (CSFA). Proven experience assisting in operating rooms. Strong understanding of surgical procedures, instrument preparation, and intraoperative technical skills. Excellent teamwork and communication skills. Ability to work efficiently, adapt quickly, and maintain focus under pressure. Nice to Have Skills: Prior experience with specific surgical specialties. Knowledge of sterilization and infection control protocols. Certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) or Basic Life Support (BLS). Preferred Education and Experience: Certified Surgical First Assistant certification. At least 2 years of experience in surgical assisting. Familiarity with hospital operating room policies and procedures. Other Requirements: Ability to work Monday through Friday during daytime hours. Must comply with all health and safety protocols, including licensure, certifications, and any travel or reimbursement policies. Willingness to participate in ongoing training and professional development.
