A registered nurse with interventional radiology (IR) experience is needed for an upcoming contract opportunity in Waukegan, IL. This role supports vascular and peripheral interventions including pulmonary embolism cases, providing critical care in a clinical setting. Candidates should have a minimum of two years of RN experience, including at least one travel contract, reflecting solid adaptability to varied healthcare environments. Qualifications / Desired Experience Minimum 2 years of RN experience in interventional radiology, peripheral vascular (PV), or vascular nursing At least one previous travel nursing contract completed Experience managing pulmonary embolism (PE) cases Current Illinois RN license, CPR, and ACLS certifications Ability to respond to vascular on-call needs, approximately one week every three weeks No weekend shifts required unless on vascular call New graduates will not be considered for this role Schedule / Hours 8-hour day shifts, 5 days per week (40 hours total) On-call shifts for vascular/IR coverage as scheduled Responsibilities Deliver high-quality patient care in an interventional radiology setting Monitor and support patients undergoing IR, PV, and vascular procedures Respond promptly during on-call vascular emergencies Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes Location Overview Waukegan, IL, is a vibrant city located along the western shore of Lake Michigan, offering beautiful lakefront views and easy access to recreational activities.
