Location Detail: 80 South Main St Winsted (10478) Shift Detail: Department hours of operation 7am-5:30pm Monday, Wednesday, Friday. Position Summary: As a Registered Nurse in Cardiac Rehab, you will employ the nursing process encompassing assessment, planning, intervention, documentation, and evaluation to provide exceptional care tailored to each patient's needs. You will follow clinical policies while implementing education and care plans, ensuring families are supported as well. Your role will include working closely with an interdisciplinary team to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction. Essential Functions: Conduct initial assessments to identify patient and family needs, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care. Develop and communicate personalized care plans collaboratively with patients and the healthcare team. Implement medical care plans and nursing interventions with the appropriate skills and judgment needed. Ongoing evaluation of patient responses, adjusting care plans as necessary for optimal results. Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation to support quality and coordinated care. Stay current with required certifications and continually pursue professional development opportunities. Serve as a role model and mentor to fellow staff members. Adhere to hospital safety standards, including protocols for exposure control. Exhibit professionalism and respect towards patients, families, visitors, and colleagues. Promote teamwork to achieve organizational goals effectively. Engage in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to enhanced patient care strategies. Required Qualifications: Active Connecticut RN license. Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred. Current certifications in ACLS and BLS. Minimum of 2 years' experience in Cardiac or Critical Care preferred.
