Manager can use their skills and train them to PACU • 1 year of pediatric hospital experience is a requirement, in whichever of the above specialties. Required: -Airway mgmt/vents/extubation/pain control/ cardiac monitoring/fluid and electrolyte mgtmt/discharge instructions -CA RN license -Associate's Degree (Minimum) -Bachelor's Degree (Preferred) -BLS/CPR (AHA) -PALS (AHA) -Critical Care experience -1 year of travel experience Department/Environment: PACU/38 beds Shift: 4x10-Hour Variable 1030am to 12:30pm; or earlier as needed based on department need Call: 1 call shift per week or 1 call shift every other weekend as needed Holiday Call: 1 Holiday call as needed Ratio: NP Ratio 1:1-2; D/C area 1:3-4 Schedule Information: 4, 10-Hour; Possible standby/on-call; based on department needs RTO Standard: All RTO required up front, no exceptions. No more than 6 days can be submitted. Only one holiday request off. Job Summary: Functions at the Standard Level of nursing practice. Responsible for independently applying the nursing process through the assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation and documentation of pediatric patient care. Selects and administers the appropriate care taking into consideration the age and developmental level and size of the patient. Provides a caring relationship that facilitates health and healing. Should be able to identify own limitations and seek resources as needed.
