Job Description & Requirements Specialty: ED - Emergency Department Discipline: RN Start Date: 04/06/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - ER Job Details: • Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM • Three shifts per week (3x12 schedule) • Every other weekend and every other holiday required • Patient ratio of 4:1 for days, nights, and weekends • Float within skillset as needed • No on-call responsibilities • Must successfully pass the Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with minimum 80% overall score and 100% on lethal rhythms • Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS • Cerner EMR experience required • Triage experience required (hardstop requirement) • Must have worked in ED setting with at least 45,600 visits per year (125/day) within past 8 months • 2 years of emergency department experience required • Travel experience required (hardstop requirement) • Care for patients of all ages: neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, geriatrics • Handle approximately 130 visits per day in 40-room emergency department • Skills include general emergency department care, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, phlebotomy, IV management, BiPAP/CPAP management, ventilated patient care, isolation precautions, and triage • Requires expert prioritization and organizational skills to manage fast-paced ER environment • Must have compact license or Maryland license • Flu vaccine required with no exemptions Facility: This healthcare organization operates a comprehensive emergency services department that provides critical care for a wide range of medical conditions and trauma situations.
