RN Med Surg | Salem, Massachusetts

This opportunity calls for a skilled Med/Surg Telemetry RN prepared to float across multiple units within a well-established hospital setting. The role requires adaptability and clinical expertise, with an emphasis on cardiac monitoring and telemetry skills. Candidates must be willing to provide care across up to eight different units, delivering high-quality patient care in a dynamic environment. Responsibilities: Provide registered nurse care in various Med/Surg Telemetry units, including ED and acute mental health areas Perform cardiac monitoring, managing cardiac drips, and interpreting telemetry strips regularly Float efficiently between up to eight different units to meet patient care needs Use EPIC electronic medical record system for accurate documentation Manage patient loads with clinician-to-patient ratios up to 6:1 during nights Deliver care to diverse patient populations, including ED border patients and non-vented ICU transfer-ready patients Qualifications: Current Massachusetts RN license Minimum of two years acute care hospital experience, preferably with telemetry Proficiency in cardiac monitoring, including measuring intervals and reading telemetry strips every 4 hours Experience with TR Band and cardiac drip management AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Comfortable adapting to floating among multiple units Schedule & Type: Contract position Nights and every other weekend (EOW) shifts, approximately 36 hours per week Additional Perks: Free on-site parking Candidates with a strong acute care and telemetry background who thrive in fast-paced environments will find this role rewarding.
